JOBY Gorillapod SLR Zoom Tripod, Perfect for travel with moderate-weight gear in my opinion

This is an awesome little tripod that works great. I'm using it with a Nikon D90 with battery grip (2 batteries) and holds well weight. the ball head on this tripod is sturdy for the application. I wanted a small, lightweight tripod that I could take it easily when I was mobile without having to take my biggest Manfrotto tripod with me. I wrapped this around tree branches, my car handle (capture a waterfall high behind us), mounted on top of large rocks and small river flow curb rail. you never need a 3rd person taking pictures for you. the tripod is the 3rd person!
